The ABHB is a non-profit organisation for professional dog groomers. It was established in 1991 and provides seminars, trade shows and more. Our goal is to unite groomers through membership, to promote communication with colleagues, to set recognised grooming standards and to offer those seeking a higher level of professional recognition the opportunity of having their grooming skills recognised. The ABHB has approx. 800 members among the present total of 1300 groomers in the Netherlands.

Among other things we provide:

• Consumer awareness brochures to help educate the public about our profession
• Bi-monthly newsletters to keep members abreast of association activities as well as information about the latest news from the industry and coming events.
• We also offer an opportunity for group rates business liability insurance.
• Every year there is an ABHB "Vakdag" with seminars, breed demo's, trade fair and fun for members.
• ABHB is unique in the world because all our members are qualified with one of the recognised educational institutes in the Netherlands.
